Christianity Explained

Ever wanted to know more about faith but didn't know where to go or who to ask? This could be for you.

It's for all ages and for all stages of belief and unbelief. It's a no holds barred discussion about the central claims of Christianity in a relaxed and open atmosphere. The course is based on the gospel of Mark and runs over 5 weeks, beginning on Thursday 29th January 2009 at 7.00 pm. Each session lasts for an hour.

Men’s Bowling

Don't stay at home! The Men's Bowling club is a great place for good company (and even the odd bit of indoor bowls).

It meets every Thursday at 7.00pm in Bloomfield Church hall. Around 9.00pm the bowlers break for tea and coffee, followed by a short time of prayer and Bible study.

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women is a place where women of all ages can meet and learn more about how they can use their talents to serve God.
The organisation is represented in every church
in the denomination and is a real powerhouse of prayer and support for the outreach work the church is involved in both at home and abroad. Presbyterian Women meets on alternate Thursdays and starts with tea and chat at 7.30pm

Badminton Club

A great way to meet people and get fit, the badminton club meets on Fridays at half past seven. Whatever your age or standard, you're more than welcome.

Dads and Tots

Enjoy quality one on one time with the kids and share experiences with other dads. And if that doesn't tempt you, perhaps the bacon butties will! Dads and Tots meets at the Church on the second Saturday of each month at 10.00am.

Parents and Toddlers

Parents and toddlers meets every Wednesday morning at 10.00 am. Just follow the racket!

There are loads of games, toys and activities.
Song time is especially popular and the children are always enthusiastic about joining in with action rhymes and songs. After juice and toast, the mums can chat over a cup of coffee.
There are special events throughout the year.

Pre marriage course

You've invested in the reception, honeymoon, house - now invest in the rest of your lives together. Our pre marriage course offers a great basis for couples getting ready to tie the knot.
Every week there's a lovely meal and a video presentation on the issues faced by married couples. It runs over five weeks and is led by Rev Drew Gibson.

Music Ministry

Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing;
Praise Him with strings and flutes!
Praise Him with a clash of cymbals;
Praise Him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!

Psalm 150

At Bloomfield we enjoy worshipping God in music and song and we are thankful for the wonderful team of musicians who help us to do that during our services. That's not to say we couldn't do with more members of the music ministry team! If you have a passion for music, whether it's singing or playing, we'd love to have you on board.
