We continue to be overwhelmed and extremely thankful with the generosity of our church family, friends and neighbours who support the work of Storehouse by bringing food items and cash donations to our Open Garage every Saturday.

Thanks to those who sent out notes to their neighbours and have set up mini collection points at your own front door for them to drop food off – this has been very successful and a great way to get to know your neighbours! If you’re interested in doing this, please get in touch!

Storehouse have been exceptionally busy over this last while and supplies have been low… but they’ve never run out – God is good! With the cash donations, they are able to buy the items they’re short of from wholesalers. Incredibly they’ve also been able to buy fresh milk (they were given 4 big fridges to store this!), bread, fruit and vegetables so each week folk are getting a bag of non perishable items and a bag of fresh produce. What a blessing!

Our monthly item for June is toilet roll… who remembers our “one big push for toilet roll” many years ago?! That story is for another time!

However, shopping is not straight forward right now and so we are very grateful to receive any items you can easily get and tinned meals, tinned vegetables and tinned desserts are currently low in stock.

As well as supporting the work of Storehouse, we are very mindful that there may be folk in, or connected to, our church family who may need help from Storehouse due to the difficult times we find ourselves in. Please do not hesitate to email me (storehouse@bloomfieldpresbyterian.org) or leave your details on the church office answerphone (9047 1103) and I will get back to you in strict confidence.

So… the Open Garage continues every Saturday 10am – 12 noon at 122 North Road… we look forward to seeing you!
