Dear Parent / Guardian,
September usually brings a rush of excitement of activities and organisations returning. Whilst the start of this year will obviously be different, rest assured we will try to maintain rhythms and patterns of things that we pray will bring some sense of normality to a week.
The majority of our youth ministry will be returning online. I understand the thought of more Zoom can be a bit discouraging for many but in the months of March – June we have had some fantastic times meeting virtually.
It is my prayer that all our young people will continue to feel valued and cared for by their church family and that their relationship with God will ultimately grow and deepen in the months to come.
Over the next week or so we hope to have dates put in place and a better sense of what can be achieved.
We have a great team of leaders and volunteers accross all our children and youth ministry as well as our uniformed organisations.
Lydia Hamilton has taken a year after school to serve here in BPC as a Youth Intern. We are excited for Lydia and so thankful for the example she is to so many. Please continue to pray for her this year.
The Apostle Paul writes in Colossians 2:6-7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Our prayer for our young people is that they would build their lives on Christ Jesus. We want to walk alongside them and help them grow in their faith, and we pray as a youth ministry that we will be able to continue to do that this year.
If I can be of any support, a listening ear or help in anyway please don’t hesitate in reaching me on 07885235497 or e-mail michael.stoneman@bloomfieldpresbyterian.org.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
In Christ,
Michael Stoneman (Youth Worker)
