Thursday 3rd December 2020
Dear friends,
Maybe you heard the (fake) news doing the rounds:-
No Nativity this year because the three Wise Men face a travel ban. The shepherds have been furloughed. The inn keeper has shut under tier 3 regulations and a slump in bookings. Santa will not be working as he would break the rule of 6 with Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Donner and Blitzen. As for Rudolph, with that red nose, he should be isolating and taking a test. +
Certainly Advent will not be quite the same this year compared to last, but hey! Christmas has not been cancelled and worship has not been forbidden, so who can say; maybe this can be our best Christmas yet?
Here is all that we can anticipate over the next few weeks:-
Sunday 6th December :- Frank will lead morning worship on BBC Radio Ulster 10.15-10.59 am.
Sunday 6th Dec (Peace) 11am Isaiah 9v1-7 (For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given) Drew Gibson. (Livestreamed only)
Sunday 13th Dec (Hope) 11am Kidzone Christmas Celebration.
(Livestreamed & live in church)
7pm Christmas Youth Service. Michael Stoneman. (Live in church)
Sunday 20th 11am (Love) Frank Sellar. (Livestreamed & live in church)
7pm Carols for Christmas.
Open to all who book in, first come, first serve. Frank Sellar. (Livestreamed & live in church)
Christmas Day 25th December 10.30am Christmas worship. (Livestreamed & live in church) Frank Sellar
Sunday 27th December 11am Morning service. Sam Bostock. Livestreamed & live in church)
(No evening service)
Already I know many of you are enjoying the Bloomfield Alternative Advent Calendar, as are our family; hearing again how incredibly, amazingly the Bible inextricably points us to the Lord Jesus, for ‘every story whispers his name.’
As we sing carols such as ‘Let every heart prepare him room’ perhaps this Christmas can be our most thoughtful and meaningful yet?
Most Sincerely from Frank
+ Thanks to our friends in Knock for this great quotation.
