They say “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Rather than write an update on the ongoing work at Walkway, these photographs will show you some of what has been happening in our community since the beginning of 2021.

The new community centre is due for completion in early 2022. in the meantime, staff and volunteers are working hard to maintain contact with over thirty groups who met in the old premises. Particular effort is made to keep in touch with seniors and youth. Support from organisations and businesses in our community has proved invaluable. I won’t thank any in particular for fear of missing any out. It is a great encouragement to see how Walkway, BPC, Bloomfield Community Centre and Beersbridge Elim continue working together with the Community Voluntary Sector in presenting a united Christian witness to our community.

East Belfast Coronavirus Community Support
This group has been established to support a coordinated approach to community support in East Belfast. There are a number of community organisations throughout East Belfast who are already diligently working in their community and this groups supports them through a phone triage referral system. This group aims to try and pick up on the gaps to ensure vulnerable and isolated people are supported. The phone numbers below are for people who may need help or connected to someone or an organisation in their area. It is not for general advice and definitely not for health advice. Should you require support with any aspect of daily life; are currently self isolating; a vulnerable person or just need to talk to someone for advice, please phone 07783631110 or 07783631114
