There was an advertisement for the West End musical ‘Hamilton’ in the weekend newspapers. It announced “We’re back”!
That was a play on the words of the song where King George 111, lamenting the anti royal machinations of the rebelling American Colonists, sings sardonically “You’ll be back”.

While we have never been away these past 18 months, in a sense it’s good for us in Bloomfield to say loudly “We’re back’! Maybe not exactly as before, but heading that way.

It has been lovely seeing whole families making the physical return to church over the past number of weeks and this Sunday 29th August at 11am our All Age Family service is a great way to re-engage and from the following week Sunday 5th September 11am, both Creche and KidZone will operate during worship.

Though many have spoken appreciatively of the Livestreaming of our services, even more have expressed delight at being able to meet again face to face.

As Hebrews 10:24 & 25 says: “Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching”.

Welcome back!

Sincerely, Frank
