St Patrick’s Day 2021

Dear friends,

In the week we mourn the passing of our dear senior elder and friend Pearl Kerr, and rejoice in her elevation to higher service at God’s right hand, we also give thanks for these wonderful words of comfort and hope from St Patrick (372-466)

“Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.”

Each year the Council of Mission in Ireland (of which I am Convenor) host St Patrick’s Day rallies in different locations highlighting the work of Christ throughout Ireland, South and North. This year we are unable to do that and so we decided to put a programme together via video link which would be easily accessible for all, informative and inspirational. This will be available on our church web site on Sunday evening from 6.30pm. I hope you enjoy!

Meanwhile, may Christ’s presence be with you, this week and may the Triune God guard, guide and sustain you through every sorrow, joy and opportunity.

In His glorious name. Frank
