On Saturday 31st July 2021, the walking group shall meet up once again, traveling to the lovely Glens of Antrim to walk Dungonnell Way. Once again this will be a loop walk. From memory, there is a shop in Cargan, however not aware if there are any public toilets.
Once again, I would ask that everyone make their own way to the starting point, as I don’t think we are in a position yet to commence using the minibus. If anyone requires a lift, please contact me by return email.

When leaving Belfast, travel north on M2 towards Ballymena. Leave motorway at Broughshane junction, turning left towards Ballymena, then immediately right at the next roundabout following the signs for Cushendall. Follow this road until small public carpark 500m before arriving at the village of Cargan.
Covid
As we continue to adhere to some covid regulations, I would offer the following guidance for the walking group.
– Always carry a mask with you when on the walk
– Always carry hand sanitising gel when on the walk
– Keep socially distant within reason
– Don’t attend walk if you are feeling unwell
I look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible and remember that we plan to run the walking group programme over the summer months of July and August. The walk at the end of August will take place in the Mourne Mountains, route to be confirmed.
